April 15 2019 General Meeting Agenda

As a reminder, we will be collecting food for our community partner, Nourish Food Banks. We will also discuss updates on the Logo Redesign Contest being held in partnership with Lincoln High School. And we will announce the winner of the first monthly SENCO Photo Contest.

Logo Redesign Contest

We are pleased to announce that the South End Neighborhood Council is hosting a contest for Lincoln High School students to redesign our neighborhood council logo.

The deadline for submitting a logo is April 15. First, Second, and Third place will be awarded $300, $200, and $100 respectively. We will also share the top designs on our website. Interested students should contact Lincoln High School instructor Reid Callan for details: RCALLAN@tacoma.k12.wa.us

 

Monthly Photo Contest

South End Neighborhood Council is proud to announce our first Monthly Photo Contest!

Theme: Spring in the South End

Deadline: 5 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019

Prize for best photo will be announced at the South End Neighborhood Council meeting at 7 p.m. on April 15, 2019, and the winner will be contacted directly. Monthly prizes subject to change. {Think $5 gift cards: no trips to Hawaii. Sorry.}

All submissions should be emailed to senco253@gmail.com. Please include photographer name, phone number, email address, location photo was taken, year (recent submissions only unless otherwise requested), and confirmation that we may share your photo whether selected or not. If a portrait is submitted, please ensure you have the subject’s permission beforehand.

Rules: Contest open to residents of South End Tacoma. Photos submitted must be the property of the person who submits it for consideration. Photos submitted may be displayed on SENCO’s website and social media; if used, the photographer will be credited. The winning photo will be selected by the Board. If there are no eligible entries, prizes will be distributed the following month. This is a neighborhood council contest: please use your best judgment about what is appropriate to submit. If you are under 18, please ask your parent to submit your work on your behalf. {Rules subject to change.}

This contest is not open to seated South End Neighborhood Council members or their immediate families.
