10/11 WAPATO South End Neighborhood Walk #12 at 9am

Howdy folks! Happy fall! We’re looking forward to heading back to the Wapato neighborhood this month for our walk. These monthly walks around different locations in the South End are a fantastic way to start the weekend. All are welcome to join us! 😊

Saturday, October 11th at 9am meet up in front of the Bath House by the Sheridan Avenue Wapato Park entrance (6500 South Sheridan Avenue) where the walk will begin and end.

Your South End Neighborhood Council guides short monthly walks around South End hot spots where we focus on identifying potential solutions and ideas for neighborhood improvements, as we pick up litter along the way.

All ages welcome! Join us for upcoming walk #12 in the Wapato neighborhood with your ideas, questions, & comments to help us advocate for ways to make the South End even better.

💚 Tea or coffee for the walk is donated by 38th & G Starbucks

Community Town Hall

Your Voice. Your Future. Your Neighborhood.

The South End Fred Meyer is closing—and the impacts on food access, jobs, and our community will be real. Let’s talk about it, plan for the future, and make sure our neighborhood is heard.

Join us for a Community Town Hall where you’ll hear directly from advocates, elected officials, and community leaders. We’ll share next steps, resources, and ways to get involved. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions—anything we can’t answer during the meeting will be sent to the right people so you get answers.

Washington is upon us…

We love our weather and we definitely could use the rain, but it does mean that we will be rescheduling tomorrow’s painting party to the following Saturday, August 23rd, 11-2pm.

Thank you to our excellent Partners at the Tacoma Public Library and to our Artist Jesse Peterson we are able to pivot smoothly and enjoy the rain! See you on the 23rd!

Fern Hill Painting Party! We hope to see you there! Questions? Email us at senco253@gmail.com.
