SENCo Block Party❤️!

The South End Neighborhood Council (SENCo) would like to cordially invite you to meet your neighbors and celebrate art, green space, and each other!

WHEN: Saturday, June 24th. 11am-3pm

WHERE: S. 72nd and S. D St Green Space

Thanks to great opportunities through the City of Tacoma Arts Commission , City of Tacoma Green Events and Tacoma Venues & Events funding, generous Sponsors, and Community Partners, SENCo is throwing a block party! Rock out to the Fun Police and try a plate of some Jerk An Tingz while exploring the Mural art of Jorge Garcia. Children’s activities, Troop 507, Artist Cheryl Rux will be leading a kid’s garden box painting project, and Burns Towing will be there with a truck for the kids to check out!

Let’s step back in time………a 2 1/2 block stretch, waiting for community investment 🤩

On a cold but beautiful misty June morning in the PNW, a great group of community members showed up for the Stewart Walking Tour in the South End! We picked up a lot of litter along the way as we took notes about improvement ideas for the area. We hope you’ll join us for a Hot Spot Walking Tour in the future!

Special shout out to South End kiddos Knyx & Freyja for getting up early on a Saturday & joining us with their gran/SENCo board member Melissa Knott 💕

Saturday, June 10th at 9am meet at La Huerta at 5605 Pacific Ave where the walk will begin & end.

Your South End Neighborhood Council guides short monthly walking tours of South End hot spots to identify potential solutions at the ground level.

All ages welcome! Join upcoming Walking Tour #16 through the Steward neighborhood: Bring your ideas, questions, & comments to help us advocate for ways to make the South End even better.

Tea for the walk is generously donated by our local 38th & G Starbucks 😊
