Thank you everyone who showed up on September 14th for our first of 25 South End community walking tours, series two! About 15 people joined us for a beautiful morning walk in Larchmont. We took notes about improvements made to the area since our last time there as well as opportunities for additional improvements, and picked up four bags of litter along the way! 🙌 It was a treat to see some old friends and also meet some great new neighbors. Coffee provided by our local Starbucks at 38th & G was much appreciated and kept us warm. 💚

Special thanks this week goes out to April for joining us and sharing thoughts on the route from the perspective of a person in a wheelchair. It was a valuable and eye opening experience for all of us to help better understand about travails of the terrain when traversing it as someone who is differently abled.. 🙏

The first walk in our second series of 25 South End walking tours is almost here! These walks are always a great way to start the weekend 😊 Hope you can join us!

Saturday, September 14th at 9am Meet at Larchmont Elementary School (8601 East B Street) where the walk will begin and end.

Your South End Neighborhood Council guides short monthly walking tours of South End hot spots to identify ideas and potential solutions for our neighborhoods.

All ages welcome! Join upcoming Series Two Walking Tour #1 in the Larchmont neighborhood. Bring your ideas, questions, & comments to help us advocate for ways to make the South End even better.

The SENCo SNAPs committee team are SO grateful to all the folks who came out with us on 25 successful, (mostly) sunny Saturday mornings over the past two years! THANK YOU neighbors, City of Tacoma, Pierce County, and Metro Parks staff for taking the time to make these walks fun and informative.
