Happy Lunar New Year, South Enders!

You’re invited to TWO fun upcoming SNAPs events on the SAME DAY!

Fun Event #1: SNAPs Walking Tour # 1

SNAPs is starting Phase 3 of updating our Neighborhood Plan with walking tours of South End hot spots identified in the SNAPs Heat Map developed by the community in Phase 2 .

Saturday, February 12 from 9am – 1030am, meet at Larchmont Elementary School (8601 East B Street) to begin and end Walking Tour #1

Fun Event #2: South End & SNAPs Appreciation

Join us for a heart-themed *sweet* South End & SNAPs Appreciation (outdoor, distanced, & masked) with treats, community info, activities for the kids, & happy community vibes!

Saturday, February 12 from 11am to 1pm Under the covered basketball area at Larchmont Elementary 8601 East B Street

UPDATE: 2/4 Lincoln Clean-Up THANK YOU

THANK YOU to everyone from the South End & Eastside Councils who came out today up to brighten up the Lincoln District before we welcome guests tomorrow for Tacoma’s Lunar New Year Celebration!

About 25 awesome people showed up & collected about the same number of bags full of litter. We loved seeing you all and truly appreciated the team effort! Special thanks to the Eastside Council & neighbors for cross-council support ❤

Lincoln Clean-Up 2/4 @ 1pm

Clean -Up in the Lincoln District February 4 at 1pm

The South End & Eastside Councils are teaming up to brighten up our Lincoln District before we welcome guests arriving the following day for Tacoma’s Lunar New Year Celebration!

All are welcome to join us! We’ll have grabbers, bags and gloves available. Rain or shine & don’t forget your mask (but if you do we’ll have one for you)!
