Are you considering applying for the South End Neighborhood Council’s current Board opening? Do you live in the South End? Are you at least 18 years old? Do you want to work with others to improve our neighborhood’s access to resources, representation, safety, and more? Come meet with current Board members on Saturday, January 12, and grab an application! We will be at the Moore Library from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. This is an informal meeting, and children are welcome.

The deadline to apply to be on the Board is January 18. Applications are also available online here.

The vote for the new board member will be taken at the January 28 general meeting. We meet at 4911 S. Alaska St. (Fire Station #8), Suite B, Tacoma, WA 98408 at 7 p.m. Please click here to respond to the Facebook event and share with friends. East Tacoma Community Meeting: 38th and Pacific Staging Area

Walsh Construction Co. II, LLC, Sound Transit’s general construction contractor for the Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension, has sub-leased the property located on the southeast corner of S. 38th Street and Pacific Avenue (“Rite Aid” lot) for staging of equipment and storage of various materials such as rail, construction trucks, utilities and stockpile materials for hauling to work zones or off site.

Please join Sound Transit and the contractor, Walsh Construction Co. II, LLC, at a drop in meeting to discuss any questions you have regarding the staging area located on S. 38th Street and Pacific Avenue.
