A HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up to show the South End some love for the August SENCo Summer Fun Clean-Up along Hosmer today! Special shout-outs to Blueberry Park (who donated their weekly Sunday clean-up) & Stafford Safe St groups who came out in full force today! You all were awesome!

We collected about 25 bags of litter in 2 hours! If you missed this one but ❤️ the South End like we do, stay tuned for our next clean-up in September & join us! We’d love to see you there!

A big virtual round of applause to the Blueberry Park, Fern Hill, & Larchmont neighborhoods for putting on a great outdoor National Night Out (NNO) event this year! SENCo was great full for the invitation to attend & see you all safely!

Thank you to everyone in the South End who stopped by, as well as Darren & Amy from Safe Sts for supporting the community, SENCo board member Penny was representing Pierce Transit with great information & treats, & last but not least, a huge thank you to Jubilee Restaurant owner Jose Chavez for donating a $25 gift certificate to SENCo for the We ❤️ the South End coloring raffle prize.

We’re already looking forward to next the festivities next year!

Do you live in the City Council District 5 area of the South End? Would you like to help shape Tacoma’s future? Consider joining the Planning Commission!

The Tacoma City Council is looking to fill one position on the Planning Commission for the South End’s District No. 5.

Applications due by end of day Friday, September 10, 2021.

The Commission reviews zoning reclassifications, urban design, historic district designation, pre-annexation planning, and transportation and capital facilities programs. Meetings held monthly on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays at 5pm.
